Obituary copied from his Find-a-Grave memorial page: Raymond Vance Jackson, 90, of West Union, died Monday, July 26, 2010, at Salem Care and Rehab Center. He was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Weston, WV, a son of the late Irvin G. and Iva O. Bennett) Jackson. He retired from Hope Gas and was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Surviving are three daughters, Lila Jackson and Marie Partridge, both of West Union, and Tiwana Richards of Hedgesville, WV; four sons, James E. Jackson of Mt. Morris, OH, Larry R. Jackson of Parkersburg, WV, Vance Jackson of West Union and Denzil Hawkinberry of Bridgeport, WV; two sisters, Thelma Thompson of St. Albans, WV, and Velma Corathers of Weston, WV; 21 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife Mary Jo (McMillion) Jackson, in 2000; a daughter, Saundra Swisher; a brother, Hall Jackson; and a granddaughter, Angela Swisher. In regards to Raymond's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Following cremation, his remains will be interred at the West Union Masonic Cemetery, beside his wife at the convenience of the family. McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, is assisting the family with arrangements. References
