Ralph James Mains, age 87, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away November 8, 2012, at his home.

Ralph was born on August 8, 1925, in Menlo, Iowa, to Johnathan Henry Mains and his wife Iva Fern (James) Mains, who preceded their son in death.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; and his brothers, Donald and Wesley.

He is survived by his wife Betty (Crews) Mains; daughter, Linda Crosson and husband, James; grandson, Bradley Gale and wife, Jennifer, of Norfolk, Va.; brothers, Ellis, Edwin and Dale; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hanen, and many nieces and nephews.
