An article compiled and edited by Sue Mercer Thompson, "Sussex County, Virginia, Oaths of Allegiance and Those Who Refused" lists several Magee men, most of whom I believe to be Ralph Magee's sons, as signers to an oath of allegiance to the Commonwealth of Virginia.The article was published in the RSGS Newsletter, January-March 2003. Listed here in abstract- "A List of those persons that have taken the Oath of Allegiance to the Commonwealth of Virginia. 1777, Nov. 24, William Magee."
