    Peter Hogg (1703-1782) immigrated from Scotland to Augusta County, Virginia and married Elizabeth Taylor. He served in the French and Indiana War and the Revolutionary War. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, California and elsewhere.

    Noah Wall (1785-1842), the grandfather of Eunice Wall Hogg, married twice. His first wife, Minerva Folsom, was a Choctaw, and his second wife, Eunice Clough, was a Massachusetts missionary to the Indians. Noah's son, Samuel Clough Wall (1842-1931), was raised by the Choctaws, and married (1) Rachael Laundrum (a Cherokee) and, after her death, (2) widow Ellen (Jackson) Thompson.
