Ralph A. Galbraith, 82, of Germano died Sunday in Twin City Hospital, Dennison, after a short illness. He was a retired employee of Powhatan Coal Co. Born in Germano July 27, 1896, a son of the late Charles and Anna (Winings) Galbraith, he was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Gnadenhutten and Cadiz Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Viola Wright Wood Galbraith; six stepsons, Francis Wood of Cadiz, Bruce Wood of Hopedale, Myron and Lawrence Wood, both of Canton, Neil Wood of Minerva and Harold Wood of Scio; one stepdaughter, Miss Alta Wood of Jewett; two brothers, William and Charles, both of Florida; a sister in Akron; 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bethia Croskey Galbraith, and two children. Services were held Tuesday in the Sweeney Funeral Home at Amsterdam with Rev. Robert Gadfield officiating. Burial was in Germano Cemetery.
