Rachel Hope Moulton (Now Monk) took an architecture degree at Liverpool University, where she was the top woman student. She married your father at Queenswood School in 1959. Your father was at Keble College Oxford where he was one of the first students to specialise in electrical engineering. This led on to his future computer work. For some years your mother worked with the architect Edward Mills and helped in designing a beautiful Methodist church in Mitcham and the Anglican Cathedral in Mbale, Uganda, which I have seen, though she hasn't. For the record she has four children: Andrew, Sarah, Emma and Thomas.
