There is a disagreement among LOUGHNER genealogists whether Rachel was the daughter of Joseph Lauchnor or Johan Jacob Lauchnor.

Rachel's parentage: Johan Jacob Lauchnor has a daughter in the 1850 US Census named Royal. Rachel's son Thomas lists his mother Royal living with him in the 1880 US Census. My conclusion is that Royal is an alternate name for Rachel and that Johan Jacob is her father.
