Facts and Events
Rachel Kempson was born in 1842 in Bedfordshire, daughter of Celia Kempson, formerly Jones, and her husband George Kempson, a straw dealer. Rachel was not baptised until she was two years old, when she was baptised on the same day as her baby brother John.
By 1851 Rachel was living with her maternal grandmother and her grandmother's husband on Cross Street in Fenny Stratford in Buckinghamshire. Back in Bedfordshire, Rachel's father died in 1853.
Rachel was still living with her grandmother on Cross Street in 1861. She appears to have died in 1868, aged about 26.
