Til saman utgjorde dette 34 tn [tønner] 1 mæle. ... Bare Aslak Fossheim og Sølv-Sveinung på Vreim hadde meir. I 1691 heldt Halvor og kona Ronnaug Eivindstr. frå Sønstebø skifte av jordegodset mellom dei 7 borna, 4 gutar og 3 jentar, ... '

Halvor Steinulvsson, who lived on the farm in the second half of the 1600s, was one of the richest in the village at that time. He owned in addition to Borgja, Nedre Grivi, Haugland, Torstveit, Lia, Flita, Midt-Bø, Eikjarud, Brenne, Forberget nordre midtgaard, as well as interests in Staurheim, Fossheim, Vefall in Seljord and Hollane seter at Lifjell. In total, this amounted to 34 tønner and 1 mæle. Only Aslak Fossheim and Sølv-Sveinung Vreim had more. In 1691, Halvor and his wife Ronnaug distributed their assets amongst their 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls.
