Priscilla Ramsay's Will State of Georgia, Muscogee County -- In the name of God Amen. I Priscilla Ramsay of said county being advanced in years but in Ordinary health and of sane and disposing mind and memory and being desirous of making a disposition of my property as I may die seized and possessed of do make ordain publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say First: It is my desire that my executor hereinafter named so serve as he thinks best for the interest of my estate shall sell at public or private sale and upon such time as in his opinion may most conduce (?) to the interest of my estate all of the property real or personal of which I may die seized and possessed and also collect all such debts as may be due me or to be due me after my death arising from any source whatever. Secondly: After my just debts funeral expenses and costs of executing this will are paid I desire that my executor hereinafter named shall receive three hundred dollars and one ninth part of the balance of my estate. Nevertheless upon the following uses limitations and trusts that is to say to permit my beloved daughter Eliza E. Lively to have possess and enjoy the same for her role and separate use free from the debts and liabilities of her present husband or any future husband she may hereinafter have for and during the time of her natural life. And in trust further upon the death of said Eliza E. Lively to divide said three hundred dollars and said ninth part of the balance of my estate equally between such children as the said Eliza E. may have surviving her at her death the child or children of a deceased child to represent their deceased parent and take the share he or she would have been entitled to if living at the death of said Eliza E. Thirdly: I give one ninth part of the aforesaid balance of my said Estate to my son Randolph H. Ramsay. Fourthly: I give the one ninth part of the said balance of my said Estate to my daughter Selina Jones wife of Samuel Jones. Fifthly: I give one ninth part of the said balance of my said Estate to my son Elbert B. Ramsay. One ninth part thereof to Susan Edmondson wife of James Edmondson who is my daughter. One ninth part thereof to Allen C. Ramsay my son. One ninth thereof to my son James W. H. Ramsay. One ninth thereof to my daughter Nancy Peters wife of Doct Middleton Peters. And the remaining ninth part thereof to the children of my deceased daughter Mary Cartledge. Sixth: Should either of my said children die before my death the child or children of such deceased child shall take the share of their deceased parent but should either of my aforesaid children die before I do leaving no child or children surviving them at their death then it is my desire that the share of such deceased child shall be equally divided between the surviving brothers and sisters the share of said Eliza E. Lively therein to be held by my said executor under the same (uni?) trusts and limitations as is set forth in the second Item of this my will. Lastly: I do appoint George W. Lively my son in law the Executor of this my last will and testament expressly desiring that no bond should be required of him or said Executor or as Trustee aforesaid as I have implicit confidence that he will faithfully discharge the duties of said trust. Given under my hand and seal this 22 day of November 1856.
