From Bob's Filing Cabient II (Bob Baird) (http://www.genfiles.com/anthony/anthonyjacob.htm):

Powell Anthony (c1799 – aft1840) He is mentioned as a son of Jacob Anthony, his name given as “Paul Anthony”, in the Shoffner book as "b cir. 1799, lived in Nordaway (sic) County, Missouri.”[22] I found no census record for a Paul Anthony anywhere in Missouri for 1830/40/50. However, he is listed as “Powell Anthony” in the 1830 and 1840 censuses of Orange County, with his age given as 30-40 in 1830 and 40-50 in 1840. That makes him too old to have been the male 16-18 in his father’s 1820 household, though I could not find Powell Anthony in a separate household in 1820. As Paul Anthony, he was bondsman for a marriage in Orange County in 1831.[23] As “Powel Anthony”, he was executor of the will of Letty Neece dated 12 December 1832.[24] I did not find him after 1840. As an intriguing coincidence, I note that a Powell Kimbrough, a neighbor of Jacob Anthony and brother-in-law of Frederick Moser, died in 1795.[25] Could this son have been named for him?

Notes from Leah Tourond: In Rev D I Offman's genealogical notes at the May Memorial Library in Burlington North Carolina it is noted that Paul Anthony lived in Nodaway County Missouri.

In John Noah's (or Noe as the name is sometimes spelled) Will dated May 23, 1840; Paul Anthony is named as an Executor along with Edwin Holt, this will is wittnessed by Christian Sharpe

Paul Anthony is listed as bondsman for the marriage of Turley Mosier and William Steel dated Dec 26 1831.

Notes from Susie Helme) Info that Paul Anthony lived in Nodaway is almost right. He died enroute and was buried there, so his family did end up there.

I have only 4 children for them. Anyone make sense of the 1840 Orange census? Is this them? 1M 10-14 (Alexander) 1M 40-49 (self) 1F 0-5 (Lucy) 2F 5-9 (Sarah +1) 2F 10-14 (Eliza +1) 2F 40-49 (wife +1) 2 slaves They would need to have had 3 more daughters.
