Porter was mentioned briefly in the Webster Genealogy..nothing known about him except that in 1906, he resided at Carleton, Monroe Co.,MI.
1850 Census- Porter, 22, with his parents in Exeter, Monroe Co.,MI.
Marriage Record in Monroe County Records p.289 E.3 -recieved extract from Monroe Co Genealogical Society - Porter Webster 22yrs, of Exeter Twp married Martha L. Dewitt of Raisonville Twp on Apr 10, 1851 in Exeter by Asabel Webster, J.P. Witness: Alexander McIntyre & Edward Hotchkiss
1860, in Ash Township, Porter, 32 is a farmer married to Martha, 29, with 3 boys and his mother living with them. Also in Exeter twp is Porter's brother, Asel E.Webster, 41, farmer b.NY married to Margaret, 38, with 6 children and Corydon Webster, 26 b.NY living with them.
In 1870 Porter & Martha are in Ash Twp.Monroe Co, MI, George, 17; Charles, 16; Frank 10; Daniel 3. Also in the same house is Elizabeth Hall, 17, and Susannah Webster, 70. Susannah is Porter's mother. Elizabeth is George's future wife.
1880 Census for Ash Twp shows Porter 52, & Martha, 50, and their children, Frank E. 20, Daniel L. 13, Mary F. 6, and George W. 27, with a wife, Elizabeth 26, all on the same farm. Son Charles has married and lives in Berlin twp with his wife Emma. So Porter had 5 children, 4 of them sons to carry on this line in Michigan.
1900 Census for Ash Twp roll #732 ED64 - Webster, Porter N.,71 b.Aug 1828 in NY, pb.NY & Martha, 69, b.May 1831 are alone in Ash Twp. They have been married 49 yrs, had 5 childen & 5 alive, own their home free.

Published in the Record-Commercial in Monroe, MI on Oct 11, 1906 - Porter Webster, another old pioneer living east of this place died at his home on Monday Oct 8, 1906 from paralysis aged 77yrs. The funeral was held from the home on Thursday. Elsewhere in the same Newspaper was this report: Porter Webster, an aged and respected resident of the township of Ash(about 4 miles east of here) was called to his long home on Monday at 3am. Mr Webster was 78yrs old. His companion in life died about a year ago. Four sons and one daughter are left to mourn him. Funeral Thurs at 10am at the house.
