Porter passed away at his home in Millgrove, NY(just southeast of the Village of Portville, NY). He had lived all his life in the area. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Mary; One sister, Mrs. Charles Cassius (A.Adell) Holcomb; One son, Deyrl Hanks and one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Robinson. The funeral was held at his home on May 17, 1924.
A edit from Findagrave member, Chris Hobson tells us that Porter Married Mary Lewis Persing in 1919. Mary is buried with her first husband in East Portville(Main Settlement) Cemetery.
