After a long and difficult struggle, quietly slipped away at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, April 21, 2017 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Bartholomeus (Bart) Kraan and much of her very large loving family in Canada and the Netherlands. She is survived and deeply missed by her sisters Gerda, Barrie, Marianne and Marion; brothers Dick, Kees Jan, Jaap. Nel also will be pined for by her son Hugh and daughter-in-law Cathy, daughter Pamela; grandchildren John and Jes Waller-Pouliot, Jesse and Brittany Sholdice, Mathew Sholdice, Meganne Sholdice and Jeremy Curry, as well as great-grandchildren Emma and Zoey Waller-Pouliot, and Myles Sholdice. Nel spent her life living for adventures, family, challenging job as a bookkeeper / storekepper, market gardener and always a friendly host to her large family and friends. She will be deeply missed and so we celebrate her life in the Chapel of the NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow
