Phyllis was born on March 19, 1921 in Huntington, WV. She graduated from Huntington High School and entered Nurses Training at Speers Memorial Hospital in Dayton, KY. When she graduated as a Registered Nurse, she married Marshall Frank Schultz of Newport, Ky. During World War II, she served as training instructor for The Cadet Nurse Corps for the armed forces. After the war, she worked as a Registered Nurse at Speers Memorial Hospital in Dayton, KY and at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She had two daughters, Carol Ann and Marcia Gayle. She was also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course in Public Speaking and Human Relations and spoke at a number of dinners and banquets. When Marshall's job transferred them to Houston, TX, both of them studied the art of magic and joined the Society of American Magicians. Phyllis was honored as a 25-year continuous member. She acted as Marshall's assistant in his magic act which was performed at numerous banquets and in the Houston Shopping Malls. In 1996, she and Marshall moved to Bellevue, KY where they lived until her death in 2005. She died from septisemia from a blood clot in her leg at St Luke Hospital, Ft Thomas, KY on June 26, 2005. |
