PHOEBE RAY CALLED BY DEATHunsourced, undated obituaryMrs. Phoebe Ray, aged 70, of Camden avenue, South Parkersburg, widow of the late Isaac Ray, died this morning at 4:35 o'clock at St. Joseph's hospital following several seeks illness.Mrs. Ray was born on Jerry's Run, Wood county, but had lived in South Parkersburg for thirty-nine years. She was a devout member of the South Parkersburg Methodist Episcopal church for thirty-nine years, having served as a steward in the church during most of these years.Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Frank Thrash of Andrew street, city, Mrs. H. H. Newhouse of Lenore street, South Side, and Mrs. B. H. Headley and Miss Nelle Ray, at home; three brothers, C. O. Riel of Akron, Ohio, W. A. Riel of Belleville Route 1 and S. T. Riel of Marrtown; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.Funeral services are to be held Thursday at 3 o'clock from the South Parkersburg M. E. church, in charge of the Rev. I. S. Middaugh, assisted by the Rev. H. K. Riffle. Interment will be in Foley cemetery. The body is to be taken from the Kimes mortuary to the home on Camden avenue at 6 o'clock this evening.
