Relationships

Philippa is given here (without a source) as the daughter of Randle Mainwaring, but that would seem to be impossible given that her daughter, Margaret, married Randle's son, Sir John Mainwaring. (I.e., that would mean that Margaret had married her uncle.) Ormerod gives merely "Philippa dau. of .....Mainwaring, of Norwood, 20 Ric. II. buried at Wibunbury 1420." He also mentions Collins' suggestion that Philippa was actually a daughter of a Harcourt of Ellenhall.
