"Philip J. Yockey, a former resident of Nashville, died at his home in Columbus last Saturday afternoon. He was seventy-six years of age and was born in Woodsfield, Ohio, and about eight years ago came to Nashville, he and his family living just northwest of town for about a year.
"When fourteen years of age, he became a member of the German Lutheran church, but since moving to Columbus he had affiliated with the M. E. church.
"Deceased leaves a widow and ten children — Mrs. Chas. Rice, Loren Yockey and Wm. Yockey of Indianapolis; Mrs. Harry Truitt, Martha Yockey and Laura Yockey of Columbus, Thos. Yockey and Emma Mahoney of Woodsfield, O., and two children near Wheeling, W. Va., by a previous marriage. He was a brother to Henry Yockey who resides in Jackson township.
"The funeral was conducted by Rev. Lowther of the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon and the remains were interred in the Garland Brook cemetery."

"Retired Farmer Who Reached Age of 76 Years, Died at Home in This City Saturday Afternoon"
"Philip J. Yockey, aged 76 years, died at his home, at Eighth and California streets, Saturday afternoon.
"Mr Yockey was born in Woodsfied, O., and moved to Indiana about eight years ago, settling first at Martinsville. He moved to Columbus with his family about six years ago. He was a retired farmer. When fourteen years of age Mr. Yockey became a member of the German Lutheran church at Miltonsburg, O., but since coming to this city he had affiliated with the M. E. church.
"A widow and ten children survive Mr. Yockey. The children are Mrs. Charles Rice, Loren Yockey and William Yockey of Indianapolis; Mrs. Harry S. Truitt, Miss Martha Yockey and Miss Laura Yockey, of this city; Thomas Yockey and Mrs. Emma Mahoney of Woodsfield, O., and two children by a previous marriage, who live near Wheeling, W. Va.
"Mr. Yockey was also survived by one sister and two brothers. They are Mrs. Mary Ernst, of Moundsville, West Va., John Yockey, of Newark, O., and Henry Yockey, of Morgantown, Ind.
"The funeral will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the services will be conducted by the Ref. Wirt Lowther. Burial will be in the Garland Brook cemetery."
