According to the information obtained from May Jo Martin (jomartin1@@worldnet.att.net), on Nov 14, 1785 Phillip Vest signed a petition supporting separation of Church and State. He signed a petition on Dec 9, 1785, supporting disposal of the Glebes and other Church property with proceeds to go to paying the public debt.
