Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Raymond of Solvay. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Arvine Clay of Aultman, Ohio. Mrs. Marilyn Raymond was matron of honor. Junior bridesmaids were Cindy Raymond, daughter of the bride, and Phyllis Raymond, the bride's sister. Ushers were James Raymond and Donald Raymond, brothers of the bride. [edit] =============================================================Syracuse Herald Journal, 2 Sep 1993: PHILLIP RAYMOND Phillip "Mousey" Raymond, 75, of 114 Summit Ave., Solvay, was pronounced dead on arrival Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital after becoming ill at home. Mr. Raymond was a life resident of Solvay. He retired in 1978 from the parts department of P&D Sales Co. and previously was employed with Bresee Chevrolet, East Syracuse Chevrolet and the village of Solvay. Mr. Raymond was a member of Solvay United Methodist Church. He bowled in leagues many years and bowled a 300 game at Solvay Recreation Alleys in 1966. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are two sons, James of Oneida and Donald of Solvay; four daughters, Karen Clay of North Syracuse, Judith Walter of Syracuse, Madlyn Hiney of Chesapeake, Va., and Phyllis Maynard of Worcester, Mass.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Kaner of Big Flats and Marilyn Goldthwait of Solvay; a brother, Melbourne Jr. of Fairmount; a sister, Cora Avery of Warners; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at John C. Tindall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Belle Isle Cemetery.
