Phillip Hipskind
Family tree▼ Facts and Events
It would seem this page has an interesting history! Despite the link to Johann Phillip Hipskind born 1790, claiming to be a son, there is nothing to DOCUMENT why this Phillip of 1755 would have ANY connection to the Hipskind in the Palatine village of Schmidtweiler! Anyone who knows ANYTHING about the history of the Rhine River communities, would know that there is almost no chance that a person from Baden would wind up in the upland village of Schmidtweiler! These people of both communities spoke the same German language, but were of completely different ethnic origins! Only some DOCUMENTATION would reveal the truth. However, "White Creek" believes the "TRUTH" of this posting is far more complicated! No "blame" to "Bob2" who is a "watcher" (and probably the original creator) of this page. He had probably no idea of what was happening. In looking at the postings of "Bob2" it can been seen that he posted all his data on 21 June 2014. He then sent an inquiry to "Carolgreene" about why she was "watching" the pages he was researching. Of course he did not receive an answer on the "TALK" page, because "Carolgreene" had already posted her last response on 26 April 2007! Instead, it would seem that an unidentified individual who has the ability to move data around, without being detected, had made the UNDOCUMENTED link! As of 21 Oct 2013 there were 377 Hipskind surnames on WeRelate.org. Most of them were submitted by "Carolgreene", and a few were added or shared by "White Creek", who was working on the same family. The proposed son of this Philip Hipskind, Johann Philip Hipskind, born 1790 in Schmidtweiler, had four sons who migrated to Wabash County, Indiana, at different times (as described on their pages). All of "Carolgreene" and "White Creek's" Hipskind individuals descend from these four sons. They lived near the village of WALDGREHWEILER, which seems to have been the center of the migrations of Palatines to Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and then later to Wabash County, Indiana. These people were from dozens of related families, and are at the core of the 5,000 plus postings that "White Creek" has added. --White Creek 03:54, 1 July 2017 (UTC) |
