!SSN#: 110-10-3452 !Philip fought during WWI and won three Purple Hearts, and the Czechoslovakian Medal of Honor. He had four of his brothers killed in WWI. Family tradition has it that he manned a machine gun inside a large concrete pipe and killed a large number of German soldiers during a battle of WWI, thus earning himself the medal of honor. Philip was also a Russian prisoner of war for three years, before he escaped.
