Married originally in the first Reformed Church of Lancaster City on 8 Sep 1799 as it was an officially recognized church. Mennonite marriages were not officially recognized until after sometime after 1800. On 7 Jan 1806 the ceremony was re-performed in the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lancaster City. 1850 census Lancaster City -pg 319 - age 80 : One of the founders and prime movers of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Lancaster City. He was a trustee of the church for over 30 years. He and his wife, Sybella, and Maria Louisa Royer White were fund raisers for the new Church built on North Duke street in the 1840 time frame. 1860 census - Lancaster City- age 89, living next door to what appears to be his son Henry Benedict and family.
