Mr. P. Z. Aylsworth, late Superintendent of the Grahamton Cotton Mills, died Friday night, after a long and serious illness, of cancer of the tongue. Mr. Aylsworth was born in Connecticut in 1820. His early life was spent on whaling vessels until he went into the cotton mills of some of the New England States. He first came to Grahamton on April 14, 1856, and has successfully managed the business of the Grahamton Cotton Mills until a few months befor his death. He was married three times. His first wife was a Miss Austin, of Rhode Island, his second wife a Miss Hill, of Rhode Island, and his third wife a daughter of Samuel Overton, an old resident of this county, who still survives him. Mr. Aylsworth leaves eight children, all of whom are married except his two youngest daughters, Misses Lillie and Mabel. His funeral was very largely attended. He had many friends in this end of the county.
