Wife of Jacob Fowle, [died] June 2.

  2. Source:Osgood, Ira. Genealogy of the Descendants of John, Christopher and William Osgood, p. 29, identifies Phebe as a daughter of Joseph's brother Hooker Osgood. This is contradicted by Joseph Osgood's will which explicitly names Phebe and her husband Jacob Fowle. And there is no mention of her in Hooker's will.
  3. There is no birth record for Phebe, or an age at death. Her marriage in 1739 suggests a birth about 1719 but that conflicts with recorded births, and the spacing of sibling births suggests about 1715 is feasible.
It should be pointed out that the Osgood Genealogy cited above gives a birth date of 15 Jun 1721 for Phebe. Not only is no such birth record found, it conflicts with other children in both the families of Joseph (son Joseph b. 10 Dec 1721, 6 months after) and Hooker (son Joseph b. Lancaster 25 Jan 1720/21, fives months before), so it appears completely fictitious.
