Petr Zasekine was military chief "voevoda" in the city of Sebej south of Pskov. In 1536 he defeated 20000 mens kievan army forcing them to the ice surface of nearby lake. The ice creaked under kievan army, repeating the story of the famous Ice Battle of Alexandre Nevsky against Tevton Order croixsade. In memory of that victory Elena Glinskaya (mother of the tzar Ivan Grozny) ordered to construct in Sebej Trinity Church. Next year 1537 Petr Zasekine was killed in the battle with kazan tatars in the Kostroma region.
