Some researchers have surmised that Ann Cary married a Maj. Henry Whiting [b. abt. 1700], a supposed son of Henry Whiting Sr. and Anne Beverley, but Henry Whiting and Anne Beverley were apparently married in abt. 1718, several years AFTER the birth of Henry Whiting, which appears to rule this out. Other researchers have concluded that Ann married Major Peter Whiting (abt. 1703-abt. 1790).
