. PETER WELTY was born perhaps about 1753. His wife's name was Magdalena. According to census, tax and deed records, he lived (probably) in 1779 and 1780 in Manheim Township, York County, Penrlsylvania; in 1796 and 1800, in Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; and in 1813 in Hopewell Township, Perry County, Ohio. Peter's children were possibly: 

             a. Elizabeth Welty, born 1781-1790; married in 1813, Fairfield County, Ohio, John Hemisphere. 

             b. Christian Welty, born 2 February 1795. 

             c. Pctcr Welty, born 15 April 1799.

             d. Eve Welty, married 1821, Perry County, Ohio, David Commel.  

             e. Magdalena Welty, born 1803; died 1884, Medina County, Ohio; married  Joseph Beery. She willed her property to Susan Good, whom she had taken into her home at the age of five months.
