Peter Watson worked as a carpenter after his arrival, and lived in the South Brooklyn tenement district. The Watson family lived in various tenement houses on Atlantic Avenue near the Brooklyn waterfront. After the death of Peter's wife, the Watsons moved to 270 17th Street in the 22nd Ward, where Peter died 40 years later.
