Dr. Peter Allen Veglahn, 57, of Staunton, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Veglahn was born Sept. 12, 1948, in Dubuque, Iowa, and was preceded in death by his parents.

He retired from James Madison University.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Veglahn of Staunton, and two brothers, Ron and Noel Veglahn of LaCrosse, Wis.

There will be no local services or visitation. A private memorial service will be held in Mabel, Minn., at a later date.

Henry Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
