- ↑ Peter Strunk married Syrilla Trumbul, May 19, 1827. They lived in Ellicott until 1836, when they removed to Michigan, stopping near Adrian, where they stayed about ten years, and then removed to Cambria, Hillsdale County. He was a farmer and lumber man, at one time being part owner of a steam saw-mill, which was twice destroyed by explosion and fire. In the year 1855, he removed to the village of Hillsdale, where he kept a hotel for a short time, held the office of Sheriff of Hillsdale County two terms, was Deputy U.S. Marshal, Supervisor of his town and held the office of Alderman at the time of his decease. He was a man of perseverance and integrity. He died May 5, 1876, surviving his wife by a few years.

Peter Strunk married Syrilla Trumbul, May 19, 1827. They lived in Ellicott until 1836, when they removed to Michigan, stopping near Adrian, where they stayed about ten years, and then removed to Cambria, Hillsdale County. The children of Peter and Syrilla Strunk: Clement R. Strunk went to California where he lived for several years. He came home on a visit, and while returning to that state by the ocean route, he was taken sick, and died at Panama, South America, May 6, 1856.
Altana Strunk married Amos Greene, Nov. 21, 1850. They reside at Stanton, Montcalm County, Michigan. Mr. Greene is a farmer, and is also interested in a timber tract in the northern part of that state. Their children are: Myron C., born Sept. 12, 1853; Melbourne C., born Apr. 24, 1855; Elmie L., born June 26, 1858; Ettie L., born Mar. 4, 1860
Zeruah Strunk lives in Hillsdale, Michigan, with her sisters, Julia B. and Roseline. They inherited the greater part of their father's property, and occupy the place in Hillsdale. They are unmarried.
Crawford Strunk is a printer, and also does something at writing for the press. He married Miss Rhoda Prosser, of Hillsdale, Mich., Nov. 14, 1878. They reside at that place.
