- Ann Mary Spear and her son-in-law, Peter Smith, bought several items. They also purchased 252 1/2 acres of land for $5,178.77 1/2. At her death the estate, amounting to approximately $6,000.00, was handled by this same Peter Smith. It is possible that Ann Mary made her home with her daughter and son-in-law. Another daughter had married Martin Smith, the brother of Peter Smith. It is possible, too, that Ann Mary saw a great deal of both of these families.
