The Saint Paul Globe, 01 Sep 1892, Thu, Page 3 Martha Simonson asks for letters over the estate of her husband, Peter Simonson. Simonson accidentally and fatally shot himself on Aug 20 at Minnetonka. He left $40,000 in real estate and $15,000 personal property to his widow, 3 daughters and son. SIMONSON BROS. MFG. CO. Manufacturers of Sash, Doors, Blinds, Moldings and Bank Fixtures. This firm is one of the pioneers in the woodworking industry of the city. The business was established in the year 1870 by the late Peter Simonson, and was located where the Chicago Great Western depot now stands. The business developing rapidly necessitated removal in the year 1888 to its present location at Seventh street and Cedar avenue S. New members were soon admitted to the firm, and in 1886 it was incorporated under its present name, and has since rapidly grown to its present proportions. The output of the company goes into all of the best buildings here and in the northwest. During the past year extensive improvements have been made, such as new dry kilns, additional boilers, modern warehouse, fine offices, etc., all going to make a most complete plant. The officers of the company are: Hans Simonson, president Martin Simonson, vice president Jacob Stoft, treasurer Leo Monasch, secretary, and J.
