The German Swiss pioneer Peter Livengood born 1730, single freeman, in New Jersey for about two years then returned to Europe. Later he settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania, where about the year 1760, he married Barbara Nafziger, and they are ancestors of all Somerset County Livengoods.
