"Peter5 Garnsey, son of John4(Joseph3,2) and Ann(Peck), b. 13 Nov. 1738 at Waterbury, Conn., (V.R.W.); died 15 Apr. 1812 at Stanford, Dutchess Co., N.Y.; bur. in Federal Square Burying Ground, west side Amenia [56 Sheafer Rd, Stanford; aka The Square Cem., aka Thompson Family Graveyard - see Peter Garnsey in Find A Grave]. … Peter moved with his parents first to Litchfield, Northfield Society, Ct. thence about 1757 to Amenia, Dutchess Co., N.Y. Settled in Stanford. Eunice's sister, Sarah, b. 1738 m. Jonathan Mead, who was one of the heirs named in the will of Peter in 1810. Peter Garnsey was quartermaster of the 17th Regt. Kings District, N.Y. (pg. 176 of Military Returns.) He also served in the 6th Regt. State Militia, and received land bounty rights. Listed in 1800 cens. Stanford, Dutchess Co. with 8 in 'family'."
