Facts and Events
Peter Forgie was born on 5th January 1896 at Dollar in Clackmannanshire, son of Janet Forgie, formerly Neilson, and her husband Peter Forgie, an iron moulder. By the time of the 1901 census the family had moved to Falkirk, where Peter was living with his parents and siblings in a two roomed home at 50 Main Street.
Peter later returned to Dollar, marrying Hannah Scott there in 1941, when he was 45. They were married for about ten years, and lived together at 22a High Street, Dollar. Peter worked as a labourer in a woollen mill. He died in hospital in Stirling on 30th May 1951, aged 55. Hannah survived him by 24 years.
