May 29, 1799. Arrived from Gnadenhutten on the Mahony in Pennsylvania, with Paul Greer, Peter Warner, and Ezra Warner, cleared land on the westside of Muskingum river and returned next fall, Brother Paul Greer excepted, who stayed here from that time, and resided at Gnadenhutten.
July 1800. Brother and Sister Peter and Elisabeth Edmonds with 5 children and Peter and Grace Warner with 3 children came hither from Gnadenhutten on the Mahony.
The church on the Westside of Muskingum river got raised in March 1805, the roof laid in August; doors and windows cut out by the Brethren Peter Edmonds and Joseph Everit. The chinks filled up by Brother Jonathan Warner in September and October; October 11th and 12th the house was plastered by all our brethren and some others, and a chimney was completed by Brother Nathan Warner October 15.
In November logs for floors were sawed by Mr. Trary and Daniel Warner and from December 3rd to 6th the floors were laid both in the house and church by the Brethren Boas Walton, Jesse Walton and Joseph Everit. Windows, doors, stairs, etc. were made by Brother Jacob Wunsch of Gnadenhutten. A bake oven was built by Nathan Warner and a garden-spot cleared by Peter Edmonds in December. January 2nd 1806.
Three brethren were chosen Committee-members by all the communicants of age, and the following, viz.: Peter Edmonds, Nathan Warner, and Jesse Walton had the majority of votes.
September 18, 1807. Peter Edmonds got his new dwelling house raised.
