Information from “Virginia/West Virginia Genealogical Data from Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Records”, Vol. 2, compiled by Patrick G. Wardell, Lt. Col. U.S. Army Ret. :
- Dosher, Peter - born 11/2/1762 in Pennsylvania; family moved when soldier was small child to Culpeper County, Virginia; entered service 1781 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, when resided for 1 year; resided in Tennessee after Revolutionary War for abt. 30 years; moved to Clark County, Illinois where granted Pension as Peter Dozier in 1833, when resided with son Daniel for abt. 18 months; died there 8/6/1838; married 6/20/1790/1 to Alley Pritchett/Pritchard, Blount County, Tennessee; widow granted Pension age 87 in Marion County, Arkansas, 1857; children: eldest Margaret married Jabob [sic] Tarwater, Marriage Bond 5/25/1807, Nancy married Walter Maxey (marriage license 3/8/1809), Daniel b. 7/17/1794 (3rd child), & Henry who was age 56 in 1857; daughter Nancy was 15 months older than Daniel & 15 months younger than Margaret; in 1857 daughter Margaret Tarwater resided in Marion County, Arkansas; in 1856 daughter Nancy Maxey resided in Arkansas, a widow; son Henry resided 1857 in Marion County, Arkansas; in 1856 son Daniel resided in Clark County, Illinois who married 8/1813 to Judith Maxey, their children mention but not named in 1856.
