7 - Peter lived near Zopher Jayne in Surry Co., NC; had land transactions with Nathaniel Jayne

8 - Orange Co., New York Court Order books; Peter granted guardianship of Youngs Coleman. Youngs Coleman and Peter Coleman in same taxing district in same years in Surry Co., NC. Orange Co., NY court order book for October 1759.

9 - Family records preserved through the descendants of Abraham Coleman show that the children of Peter were born in Campbell Co., Va; however Campbell Co., Va was not formed until 1782. Bedford Co., Va. was the parent county of Campbell Co. So far I have searched court records for Campbell Co and did not find a Coleman which appeared to be of our family. I also searched Rowan Co., NC court and land records prior to the tax dates of Peter Coleman in Surry Co. NC and did not find a Coleman which appeared to be our family.

10 - Family Group Records Archives shows this family lived in Bedford Co., Va I searched court order books for the purported time period and saw no Coleman entry involving this Coleman family - also no Jayne entries
