Person:Peter Brophy (1)

Peter Brophy was born on the Bald Eagle River in Penn. on the boat where they lived. His father built dams. In 1884 he was a buggy washer at 809 Madison Ave., Covington, Ky. In l874 he was a track man on the railroad. At that time they lived at 116 Bush St. in Covington. His first wife died in childbirth. That child's name was Aloysius. His second wife, Margaret was taken to Lakeland Mental Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Peter's sister Rosalie raised their child Leo. Aloysius was buried on the original Brophy lot at St Mary's Cemetery in 1943. Rosalie was buried on the same lot in 1923. Also buried on that plot is Michael, 1931; Matilda, 1934; a set of twins, 8/3/1923, 8/11/1923.
