    P. H. Maxson, who has lived near Newville bridge about thirty years, passed into eternity Tuesday morning, April 28, 1896, at the age of seventy-six. His death was caused by stomach and kidney trouble with which he has been afflicted for some time. He was born in the state of Rhode Island and moved to this state in 1855. He leaves three brothers, one in Kansas and two in Rhode Island, and one son Perry C., with whom he has lived many years. The funeral will be held Thursday at the house at 9:30 a. m. an at the Rock River church at 10:30 a. m. The remains will be interred in the Milton Junction cemetery.
