Bunnelle Santa Clara, California 1998 Published by PB Press - Santa Clara, Ca Page 25 Peleg Fiske, Jr.,Esq.- son of Peleg and Lydia (Sheldon) Fiske. Peleg was born 25 April 1769 in Scituate, RI (not shown, Arnold v.3). He was Justice of the Peace there for a number of years and later lived in Providence. He married first in 1789 Orpha Knight in Providence. He married second, at Cranston, RI, Amey Fenner 19 June 1822. The 1790 census shows him heading a household of three in Scituate and living near his father. The 1800 census shows him with a household of seven, living between his father and brother Sheldon. The 1810 census shows him heading a household of ten and living next to his uncle Caleb and other Fiskes. In 1820 he is heading a household of seven in Providence. He died in Johnston, RI., in his 57th year, "a firm believer in the final salvation of the whole human race," as reported in the Rhode Island American of 20 March 1826. His will, dated 9 March 1826, was proved 13 April of that year. It mentions wife Amy Fiske; sons Philip Fiske, Peleg Fiske, Jr., & Samuel A.
