Peter moved to Mt. valley township NE of forest City, Iowa in 1876 and became

a wealthy farmer. About 1897 he and his family moved to Forest City. He is

buried in block F, lot 12, of the Oak lawn Cemetery in Forest City. Listed as

in Company C of the 9th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry. It is interesting that

the date on his tombstone is 1948 [Larson.FTW]
