Pearl Jones Dies In Colorado Tuesday; Burial in Branson
Mrs. Pearl Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wilson, died in a Trinidad, Colo., hospital early Tuesday, the parents were notified. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Ray Woolf and Mrs. Earl Brewington left for Trinidad Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. E.P. Hicks and son, Kenneth, left from Stillwater. Burial will be at Branson, Colo.
Mrs. Jones was 52 years old. She had been ill for some time. Two sons in the service were on their way home at the time of their mother's death. Staff Sergeant Wilson had just been released from the hospital, and Dick in the merchant marines was in Seattle. Both expected to be home by Thanksgiving.
Mrs. Jones grew up in the Alden community. She was married to Richard H. Jones Dec., 20, 1911, at Alden. They moved to Colorado in 1917 and homesteaded a farm. Mr. Jones died in 1932.
Survivors include the parents; four sons, the two boys in service, Rex of Fulsom, New Mexico, and Ivan at home; three daughters, Mrs. Lovie Talcott and Mrs. Sam Rutledge, Fulsom, and Mary Edith at home; six sisters, Mrs. Woolf and Mrs. Brewington of this place; Mrs. Hicks of Stillwater; Mrs. Haskell Meek, Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Leo Stubblefield, Elmore City, and Mrs. Cecil Calder, Clovis, New Mexico, and four grandsons.
