JULIAN- Mrs. Pearl Shoffner, 86, of Alamance Church Road, died Sunday, January 7, 2007.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Shoffner was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a retired owner and operator of Shoffner's Beauty Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Clifton Shoffner.

Mrs. Shoffner is survived by her daughter, Linda Isley and husband, Howard of Raleigh and Guilford County; granddaughters, Dr. Cinda Purrington and husband, Nick of Alamance Church Rd., Lissa Grice and husband, Drew of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Alfred and Charles Purrington of Alamance Church Rd. and Drew Grice III and John Grice of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isley, 6694 Kimesville Road.

Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty is assisting the family.
