Obituary: Nov 20 1979: Mrs Pearl D. Booth, 95, widow of the late Commander Howard Booth, died Monday at a local hospital. Mrs. Booth was a long time resident of Hot Spring and was born in Vienna, Ill.. She was a musician and had studied piano at th St. Louis Conservatory, also in Chicago. She played the piano at the first radio broadcast from Hot Springs and was one of the first organizers of the Hot Springs Music Club. She helped establish the Garland County Library in Hot Springs and served on the board many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, committee that raised miney fro the church mosaic. She had been on the board of Y.W.C.A., a member of D.A.R. and the Lotus Club. Survivors include a nephew Dr. Harry Carter, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be a t 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Gross Mortuary Chapel With Dr. George Martin officiating. Burial will be in Vienna, Ill. with graveside service Friday at 2pm. Memorial have been designated to the Garland County Library. Arrangements are by Gross Mortuary.

Pearl ran off and got married when she was about 19. The marriage was annulled. I do not know who the man was.

Oct 22, 1971 Newspaper clipping Mrs. Booth hosts family house party Nieces and nephews of Mrs. Howard Booth attended the annual family house party last week in her home at 20 Circle Drive. They included Dr. and Mrs Harry V. Carter of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. and Mrs Randall Cooper of La Grange, Ill., Mrs. H.H. Engelhard of Golf, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gillespier of Charleston, Mo., William Gillespier of Cairo, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kruse of Lake Bluff, Ill., and Mrs. and Mrs. G.L. Laidlaw of Kenilworth, Ill. All are regular visitors of Hot Springs.
