Published in the Ingham County Democrat on Jan 8, 1903 pg5, col 3 - Triplets Buried in One Grave- About 3wks ago, 3 daughters were born to Mr & Mrs Charles Cummings of Williamston. On the last day of the old year, the three, in one coffin, were lowered to their graves. The birth of the triplets was announced in the newspapers of the state. The first few days of their lives they appeared very healthy causing the belief that they would live. Of late, however, a gradual decline has been noted, until Monday 2 died & the third passing away on Tuesday. The names which had been given them were Ruby, Pearl & Garnet. The funeral which was held Wec was attended by many as the whold village had become interested in the welfare of the babies. Lansing Journal Jan 2nd.
