    Rome Township --- David “Lee” Kellogg, age 67, died at Geauga Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 28, 2019. He was the son of David W. Kellogg and Pauline Smerik Kellogg born December 10, 1951 in Warren, Ohio. Lee was married to Susan Babbony Kellogg on June 26, 1976.

    Lee was a 1970 graduate of Grand Valley High School and graduated from Michigan State University with an Associate’s Degree in Dairy Science. Lee worked his entire life as a farmer on Grand River Jersey Farm in Rome which has been in his family for over 100 years. As a youth, Lee was a member of 4-H and FFA. Lee has been a Farm Bureau board member for 45 years. He also served as a Farm Bureau board trustee for 25 years and was President of The Ashtabula County Farm Bureau for 10 years. He was a board member for DFA. Lee was a volunteer fire-fighter and fire chief with the Rome Fire Department for 25 years. He was a member of Rome Presbyterian Church. Lee was well-known and loved by many in the community. He loved farming with his sons and grandsons and spending time with his grandchildren.

    Lee is survived by his wife, Susan, three children; Michael (Jennifer) Kellogg of Rome, Scott Kellogg of Rome and Adam (Lori) Kellogg of Painesville, sister Christine Hiestan of Orwell, brothers Daniel Kellogg (Ann Marie “Bebe” Lesho) of Kinsman, Timothy (Jan) Kellogg of German Village and Eric (Cindy) Kellogg of Russell Springs, Kentucky, 7 grandchildren Austin, Lucas, Parker, Jackson, Mackenzie, Cody and Austin, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carole Kellogg and Colleen Kellogg.

    A funeral service officiated by Pastor Bill McMinn will be held at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 State Rt., 45 North, Rock Creek, Ohio 44084 on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will take place prior to the services from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 am.

She graduated from the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.On July 3, 1948, she married David W. Kellogg. Pauline was his constant companion and helper on their Jersey farm in Rome, Ohio. They also enjoyed traveling and had many camping adventures together.She loved spending time with her family, especially enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A member of the Rome Presbyterian Church, she was also active in the Ladies Aide Society at church and the Roman Candles, as well as the Farm Bureau.She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and used her nursing skills to care for family and friends whenever she was needed.Pauline is survived by her daughter, Chris Hiestan (Dick) of Orwell; and sons, David Lee (Susan) of Rome, Dan of Kinsman, Tim (Jan) of Columbus and Eric (Cindy) of Russell Springs, Ky. She will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Elizabeth, Janet, Michael, Scott, Adam, Kyle, Colton, Garrett, Kate, Andrew, David, Mary and Alexis; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Helen Hyde of Warren.She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Carole and Colleen; granddaughter, Courtney; as well as her parents; four brothers, John, Frank, Mike and Andrew; and two sisters, Mildred and Marie.The Life of Pauline Kellogg will be celebrated with a Memorial Service to be held at 3 p.m., Oct. 20th, at the Rome Presbyterian Church, 5182 Route 45, Rome, Ohio.
