She was born in Hartwell, Ga. She lived in Akron, Ohio, most of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Adrian E. Davis, a well-known orthopedic surgeon in Akron. She attended the University of Georgia and the University of Akron. She was a member of Fairlawn-West Church of Christ. She was a past member of Children's Home Board and served on the board of Old Trail School. She was a very active golfer in this district for many years and, as a member of Portage Country Club, was Lady Champion and later Senior Lady Champion. She was interested in all the arts, including painting, ceramics, and all forms of needlework.

She is survived by daughter, Susan and her husband, Dr. Dick D. Briggs Jr.; grandsons, Dr. Dick D. Briggs III (Dr. Elizabeth) and Daniel R. Briggs (Beth), all of Birmingham, Ala.; granddaughter, Dr. Adrienne Davis Briggs (Dr. Douglas Lake) of Tucson, Ariz.; and five great-grandchildren.
