Paul W. Wotring, 89, of Lake Alfred, FL, formerly of Schnecksville, PA, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 in his home. He was the husband of Shirley F. (Tyndal) Wotring. Born in New Tripoli, PA, November 23, 1926, Paul was the son of the late Clarence M. Wotring and Ida M. (Ulrich) Wotring Schneck.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II with a rank of Sergeant. Paul was employed as a truck driver for East Penn Trucking, Inc. in Lehighton for 32 years before retiring in 2012. Prior to that, he worked for the former PCM Trucking in Orefield. Paul was a member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post #16, Slatington and Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Shirley; children, Glenn P. Wotring address unknown, Eileen M. Breininger of Neffs, Thomas W. Wotring of Northampton; step children, Dennis G. Ziegler of Walnutport, James Rowe, Russell Rowe, Sherri Mathis all of Haines City, FL, Theresa Higgins of Lake Alfred, FL, William Rowe of Auburndale, FL; sister, Betty M. Snyder of Orefield; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; predeceased by a son, Larry P. Wotring.
Services: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Thursday, July 21, 2016 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder-Samuelson officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 - 11:00 am. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
